BIO (BIOGRAFIA)
Myriam Beck is a Mozambican-German biologist with a lifelong history and passion for sailing. She began sailing at the age of 5 in Maputo, training at the local club on plastic Optimist copies known as “O’9rs.” After the 2011 African X Games brought fiberglass boats to the region, she transitioned to 420s, teaming up with SSL Mozambique team bowman Alcidio. In 2015, as Mozambique faced a major financial crisis, she moved to Germany to pursue better educational opportunities, putting sailing on hold. While studying for her biology degree, she hitchhiked on an Oyster 47 from the Azores to Germany—an offshore adventure that reignited her love for sailing, just in time for the SSL Gold Cup.Melhores Resultados
